The main material of ultrasonic gel is medical-grade ultrasound coupling agent, a water-based polymer gel. Its core function is to eliminate air gaps between the ultrasound probe and the skin, ensuring efficient ultrasound transmission.

 

Its main components include:

Water: As the base solvent, it typically accounts for over 80%, providing excellent acoustic conductivity.

Glycerin/Propylene Glycol: Provides moisturizing properties, preventing the gel from drying out too quickly, and enhances lubrication.

Polymers (such as carbomer, acrylic resin): As thickeners, they help the liquid form a stable gel, facilitating adhesion and even application.

Xanthan Gum: Aids in thickening and stabilizing the structure.

 

Conductive Salts (in some products): Used to enhance acoustic or electrical conductivity, especially in ultrasound therapy or electrophysiological monitoring.

Preservatives (such as parabens): Prevent microbial growth, ensuring safe use of the product shortly after opening. These ingredients are all certified by medical device standards and are non-toxic, non-irritating, and biocompatible. After the examination, they can be wiped clean with a tissue or rinsed with water without causing pollution to the skin or clothing.
